I'm the 5th generation in a family of jewelry designers and artists --creating skillfully and artistically with our hands for over 155 years.

In my family, art has been made with so much thought and inspiration. For example, great- grandpa, Charles Woodbury, who painted and taught painting had a short philosophy. --“Paint in verbs not nouns.” Any time I think about it I can go onto E-bay and find a handful of great-grandpa’s paintings for sale. He was a consummate painter because he was a consummate artist and philosopher.

I was raised by a silversmith mother who designed and handcrafted beautiful chalices and other silver art jewelry. I apprenticed with her from a very young age. Mom showed me how fluid design was; and how to build the original design inspiration into the finished piece.

Jewelry design is the first creation, the finished piece is the second creation. I have been deeply involved in both, but...

Too many people jump to the second creation and skip the first. My favorite part is the design, my primary endeavor. I can offer you my "sweet spot" of great producible ideas and inspirations.
